9. Be truthful and honest at all times.

10. Take full responsibility for your actions

Reflection: It is important to uphold these values taught by the indians because they teach us how to improve not only our lives, but our relatives, friends, and even people we do not know. Number 1 says to treat the Earth and all of its inhabitants with respect, which is important because if you don’t respect the Earth you will make it a worse place by pollutants and such. Think of the industrialist of the 1920’s, they did not respect the earth and now we are living in a world of climate change. Commandment 3 and 4 also relate to this because they talk about keeping the world a wholesome place. Commandments 5,6, and 8 are also related in the same way 1,3, and 4 are. In commandments 5, 6, and 8, they are teaching us to do the right thing and take the extra step. Commandment 5 says to lend your time and kindness wherever it is needed, commandment 8 emphasizes this by saying you should dedicate a part of your efforts for the greater good, or in layman's terms, make the world a better place to live. Commandment 6 says to choose the right because right will always be right. Commandment 9 and 10 again share a theme whereas you should be honest at all time and assume full responsibilities for you actions. These are the steps to be taken to live a full, wholesome life as foretold by the indians.
