Military Medical Career Pathway; Animal Care Specialist

Animal Care Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities: Animal Care Specialists of the U.S. Army usually do things like provide routine care for animals in veterinary treatment or development places. They may also perform check-ups on the animals for abnormalities. And finally they may assist the veterinarian in a surgical procedure.

Salary: compensation for working with the army will get you  housing, medical, food, special pay, and vacation time.

Education: inquirers must take the ASVAB test to determine which army position is best for them. So if you get a 91 (the requirement score for an animal care specialist you get the job)

Demand: there is high demand for this position as the Army is always looking for new talented people to work.

Reflection: I would like to be an animal care specialist because I like animals but would not like to be a veterinarian, so this job would be a good middle point for me as you do not perform the surgeries.

  1. Somebody once told me the world is gonna roll me
I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed
She was looking kind of dumb with her finger and her thumb
In the shape of an "L" on her forehead
Well the years start coming and they don't stop coming
Fed to the rules and I hit the ground running
Didn't make sense not to live for fun
Your brain gets smart but your head gets dumb
So much to do, so much to see
So what's wrong with taking the back streets?
You'll never know if you don't go
You'll never shine if you don't glow
Hey now, you're an all-star, get your game on, go play
Hey now, you're a rock star, get the show on, get paid
And all that glitters is gold
Only shooting stars break the mold
It's a cool place and they say it gets colder
    You're bundled
